Reviewed by Ravi Goldberg I found this book to be a deeply inspiring story of history, hope, and vision. Martin, or Marty as he was called, was born to an Orthodox Jewish home. His parents were Russian immigrants to Canada. Growing up, he was intrigued by the Christian’s way of life. Rabbi Chernoff was a man of prayer, godliness, and dedication unto God. God revealed to him three visions which propelled him to be a pioneer in the Messianic Jewish Movement. Marty traveled "from Toronto, to the Carolinas, to Atlanta, to Knoxville, to Cincinnati, to Philadelphia," going through many trials and persecutions. All the while, Marty was fulfilling the destiny God gave him to reach his chosen people in this end-time revival. Rabbi Marty and his family barely perceived where they were going. All they knew was God was leading them. I just love this book and if you are interested in learning how the Messianic Jewish Movement began, and its pioneers, you will love it too! Learn the story "step by step, from the pen of his widow Yohanna." Ravi Goldberg is the "Rabbe Yanuka" (Child Rabbi) of Mashiach Yisrael. |
