Franklin Graham Festival

Due to the flood, Franklin Graham’s "other" ministry, Samaritan’s Purse is now in Binghamton. The BGEA also has a ministry called, Rapid Response Team which sends out chaplains to work along Samaritan’s Purse. The first chaplain is Nick, who I worked with at Bethel Church in Rochester. We met yesterday; it was probably the first time we’ve seen each other in about 13-17 years. I look forward to my ankle healing so I can go out with him, or another chaplain, and minister to people in need.
Rescue Mission

After the flood people were sent to Binghamton University for emergency housing. While there we met
Terry and her daughter, Brandy. We spent a lot of time helping them in many different ways. We helped them find out what services they could get. Then we assisted them in getting those services. I worked together with the FEMA worker and cut through a lot of red tape so we could get her quicker service. We helped them find a home, and move into it. One day Terry heard me mention my last name while I was calling a relator to help her find housing. After I got off the phone she asked me if I was "Rabbi Ron." It turns out Terry attended Mashiach Yisrael over 10 years ago until they moved out of the area. Terry now lives in the community again. We’re reunited as a result of the flood. Please pray for Terry, and the hundreds of people, who have suffered loss due to the flood.

Another new brother in Jesus

We’ve been reaching out to
Kevin for several months. Kevin had been addicted to cocaine for about 19 years. One day I shared with him how God set me free from marijuana. It gave Kevin some hope he never had before. He asked me to share the story with him several different times. Recently Kevin asked Mateo to go to church. A few weeks ago Kevin went forward to the altar and gave his life to Jesus. Please pray for him to continue to grow in his new faith.

Messianic Shabbat Service

We’re still seeing a new person come out to every Service.
Tracy made it out to a ladies prayer meeting last week. She’s really trying to get in the habit of worshiping God regularly and connecting with other people. Please pray she will regularly attend meetings, and connect with other people. We’ve had a great series studying from a book, "The Hem of His Garment." God called the people of Israel to wear fringes on the 4 corners of their garments. The book taught us a lot about the authority Yeshua has, and how we are protected when we are sheltered or protected by the Lord. I have now begun another series on the Names of God.

Outreach

This month offers two great opportunities for outreach. August 4 - 6 is the
Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally. About 100,000 people come through the gates during the 3 days. Several other ministries will be joining me for outreach. A friend is making CD’s of my testimony and Passover teaching for us to give away at the festival. Please pray that many people will take these CD’s and that God will use them to bring people to Yeshua.

On August 26 Binghamton University will welcome back its students by hosting the
University Fest. I’m applying for a booth at this festival. Pastor Olu at Calvary UMC is eager to have a booth next to us so they can reach out to the students. His church is across the street from the University. Please pray our application is accepted and for God to use us to reach out to the college students.

Goldberg Family

Vinu is trying to take the kids out to parks every day. They are all so happy when they get outdoors and stay active. Ravi, Caleb and Asha each spent one full week at Kopernik for a Science Camp. Ravi also served as a volunteer during Caleb’s camp and attended a Forensic Science Camp for a week as well. Caleb will be developing a new floor routine at Gymnastics so the coach has asked him to work on his body strength, especially his triceps (the back of his arms). I (Ron) hurt my ankle again. July 14 I ran too hard while playing base ball with the kids. The next day I could not put any weight on my foot. This time it’s not broken, but badly sprained. My doctor said it could take several weeks or months to heal. She also said I can still run, but not hard any more. This past week it finally improved a little but I still need support for my ankle. Please pray for my complete healing. I will need physical help in getting things to and from the Spiedie Fest, and I will also have to sit, or at least rest my ankle on a chair, all weekend long. Reva and Gita had a good time going to the swimming pool. The little they grew during the past year has allowed them to go into the "big" swimming pool this summer. Asha asked me to help her to swim better. She made some good progress during our two lessons.

Thanks

In July, a little over $1,800 came in again.
Please pray that God would continue to provide this amount every month. Thank you very much for how you support us through prayer and/or missions support.
