| Visitors > Regular Attenders Deb has been wanting to come to services for a while now. It finally worked out for her to join us. She is already friends with two people who are part of our congregation. Many years ago Marsha attended services until we stopped holding weekly services. A few weeks ago Nancy thought of Marsha and told her we were holding services again. This past week Marsha worshiped with us again. It was so nice to see her again. The two people who came out to services as a result of my interview on FLN (Christian radio) in October have been faithfully coming out to services. I’ve been invited back to FLN for another interview. I need to email Denny and set up a date for this visit. Rescue Mission News Mike, a homeless man who has been living in a delivery truck, is missing. He was asked to leave the truck and we have not been able to find him for two weeks. PLEASE PRAY that Mike is well and we will find him soon. We hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. On Monday we were interviewed by WBNG TV. Channel 34 and the Press & Sun Bulletin then sent out reporters to the meal so we had lots of great exposure this past week. Because of the exposure on the News we fed over 300 people. This was twice the crowd we were expecting. We also delivered a few meals, and picked up a few people who could not get there on their own. Ravi's Round Up The 2008 holiday season will be quite busy. Our family and other home school families will be putting on a Madrigal Dessert Theater. Caleb, Asha, Gita, and Reva’s home school coop class has ended, so they are focusing on other school work, and putting up the Christmakkah decorations in our home. Since my home school coop classes will continue longer, I have been working on my history paper and tests. December 11 I will hopefully receive th the Wright Brothers Award at Civil Air Patrol. On that Promotions Night I have also been asked to deliver a presentation on the B-17 Bomber. Mom (Vinu) had a Pampered Chef Party for friends after service a few weeks ago. She, and all the ladies, had a wonderful time eating, and ordering some kitchen appliances. Dad, I, and the other men had a great time eating some very good food. Mom has been enjoying regular times of prayer with a friend. Reva has often stayed with them when they pray. Mom just absolutely loves praying with people. Maybe Reva will catch this from mom. Reva and Gita are making steady progress with learning to read. Asha has taken off in learning Hebrew. Caleb just brought his Bass Guitar over from our sanctuary so he can begin practicing regularly. I can’t wait until he learns some chords to play. He has a real gift for learning to play instruments. Prayer Requests ^ That our house in Binghamton will sell. ^ Mr. J needs a job. ^ Unbelievers (especially inter-faith couples) will come to our Christmakkah Party. ^ Find, and make time, to write four papers for Ordination with the C&MA. I also need to get sufficient rest, and to spend time with my family while doing this work. Christmakkah On the internet I’ve found that a celebration of “Christmakkah” has been growing among inter-faith families. In light of this, and my desire to reach out to inter-faith families in our community, we will host a Christmakkah Party on Saturday December 20 at 10:30 AM. Some of the highlights will be: . Christmakkah Skit . Dreidle Game . Lighting of the Chanukah Menorah (BYOM - Bring your own Menorah) . Make Christmakkah Decorations . Dish-to-Pass Meal . Special Music (Nancy will play the French Horn and Hand Bells) . Visit from Dreidle Man Music, Madness & Mmmmmmmmmm When Sat. Dec. 13 @ 6:30 PM & Sun. Dec. 14 @ 3:00 PM Where 848 Ballyhack Road, Port Crane, NY The Chenango Home School Chorus will host A Madrigal Dessert Theater. All five of my kids will participate in this performance. If you are able to join us we would like to invite you to attend either one of the performances. All of the kids have been working hard for several months and are ready to go. Thank You Thanks for your faithful support of our ministry. Through your prayers and/or generous giving we are able to reach out to Jewish people, and everyone God brings into our lives. Please pray that God continues to bring in over $1,900/month. Ron, Vinu, Ravi, Caleb, Asha, Gita & Reva |
