First thing on our agenda for the new Executive Committee is seeking Chairpersons for several working committees that now need to be formed. We are also seeking God’s direction for office space. Several staff from the BGEA are looking for housing as they will move here this summer. Please pray for these needs. |
| Rescue Mission
In May, a group of us who serve the Homeless Community met with Sheriff Harder and the Sheriff in charge of issuing ID’s. At the meeting, we discovered a few ways of obtaining ID’s for people who have no ID at all. This will be very helpful as this problem occurs over and over again. Last month I spoke at our Men’s Group and shared about the shofar (horn) being a symbol of strength. I then showed how the horn also pointed to the Messiah Himself. Last month a few unbelievers attended the meetings. Please pray that God will reveal Himself to unbelievers at these meetings and strengthen believers as well. Before the meeting where I spoke on the shofar we stopped by my house to get my shofar. There was an elderly man (Joe) in the van who Mateo just picked up. I never met the man before and knew nothing about him. As soon as I got in the van, Joe commented about my shofar. We began talking about the shofar and he shared that he is Jewish. I shared with him as we drove him to a shelter. Joe does not believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and has no interest yet in pursuing God. Please pray that God reveals Himself to Joe. One of the men we serve regularly is Robert. He recently starting attending church and put his trust in Jesus at a Sunday Service. I asked Robert if he would be willing to meet for Bible Study and he agreed. Please pray that he will meet with me for Bible Study and that he will grow in his new faith. We regularly minister to Dingo. When we met him he shared with us that he has no motivation to do anything. He recently told us that he and his girlfriend (Meredith) are reading the Bible. He also has asked me to teach him how to read Hebrew. His desire to learn Hebrew is important because he is finally motivated to do something. Please pray that as they read the Bible, God will reveal Himself to them. Messianic Shabbat Service On June 10 we will devote our entire meeting to praise and worship. If you desire to meet with God and enjoy Messianic Jewish music you are invited to join us at this meeting. Also, on June 24 we will focus on Israel. This meeting will be called "A Taste of Israel." Everything we will do this morning will have something to do with Israel. If you love Israel, the people of Israel, and especially the Messiah of Israel, you should plan on attending this meeting. I am very excited about these two meetings and our Strawberry Festival outreach which will be our Sabbath gathering for that weekend. Please pray that God would have His way at all of our Sabbath gatherings in June. Goldberg Family Vinu is now free of pain. Thank God for His love and healing power! She is now going to water therapy 3x/week to regain her strength. They say she should need therapy for 4 more weeks. Please pray that she will regain all her strength by the end of June. Caleb marched with his gymnastics team in the Endicott Memorial Day Parade and in Binghamton’s Bicentennial Parade. Reva and Gita marched in Binghamton’s Bicentennial Parade with PACT (Parents And Children Together). Ravi really enjoyed his trip to the Naval Base in Boston. Asha did a great job dancing in two ballet performances. I (Ron) purchased a mini-van. Since Vinu is able to go out with us now it was time to purchase another mini-van. It has much more storage space so we can take more things with us when we go out for fun. Thanks , Please pray that God would continue to provide $1,800/month. Thank you very much for how you support us through prayer and/or missions support. Ron, Vinu, Ravi, Caleb, Asha, Gita & Reva Goldberg |
