| Bill continues with Messiah I spoke with Bill again (who came to faith last month). He has continued going to church with Beverly. He brought his sons with him last week, and they both enjoyed it. Bill wants to meet with me again. He also wants me to meet with one of his sons. He will call me again soon when he sets a date to come to Binghamton. Please pray that Bill continues to grow in his new faith, and that his sons will come to faith too. Chicken B-B-Q Outreach Good Shepherd is having a Chicken B-B-Q on Saturday May 5. We decided to move our service outside into the parking lot where the B-B-Q will be taking place. We will provide "live" music (Messianic Praise & Worship) and share some short testimonies (instead of a full teaching). We will also go to our neighbors and invite them out for the music and B-B-Q. I specifically will go next door to the College Fraternity and invite the students. Just today I went into the Fraternity. Very few students were there, but they told me there should be some around on Saturday, so I should come back then to invite them. I made coupons and will offer them free meals. My desire is to get them on our property, and be able to meet them. Please pray that God will have those around He wants us to meet, they will be willing to come, that God will allow us to get to talk with them, and that God will touch their hearts. St Louise Manor I had to chance to speak at St Louise Manor, a home for elderly people. A Jewish lady (Gail) on staff, saw the poster promoting my visit. She contacted Karen, who invited me to speak, to ask more about it. Gail then told Karen that since traditional Jews have a different view she wanted to attend and have a chance to share her perspective after I finished. I welcomed this opportunity since Gail would also be there to hear me speak. Gail shared that my beliefs may be Jewish, but that they are "outside the box of Rabbinical Judaism." I told her that I agreed, and looked for other opportunities to agree with her so we could establish a bond. When the meeting was over she asked how my family responded about my faith in Yeshua. After responding to that question, she shared that when she married a Catholic man, her family did not acknowledge her marriage, and never told their friends about it either. We certainly made a connection in how our parents dealt with choices we’ve made. She then asked if I could return to St Louise Manor so that we could both share our stories. Karen also shared how her parents did not accept her faith in Jesus, when she chose to leave a particular church. On May 15, the three of us will share together at St Louise Manor. Please pray that God will work in Gail’s heart and bring her to Messiah Yeshua. Operation Andrew The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) teaches that we should be like Andrew. After Andrew met Yeshua he went to his brother Simon (Peter), told him he met the Messiah, and personally brought him to meet Yeshua. In preparation for the Franklin Graham Festival the BGEA has given out Operation Andrew cards for us to list names, Then we are to pray that God prepares their hearts, and they would be willing to come to the Festival. I listed 13 names on my card. So far, three of the people on the list have come to our Shabbat Services, and two more are talking to me about their interest in coming. PRAYER WORKS! I would like to encourage you to use a card like this. I have two lists of how to pray for people, according to the Bible. I have these lists with my card so that I can pray according to God’s will (as revealed in the Bible). Goldberg Family Ron Ron has been invited to play softball this summer, but is wondering if his ankle can handle this. Vinu Vinu is looking forward to seeing her parents again this month. Ravi Ravi’s team took 1st Place in the Regional Bible Quiz, and he did very well in all of the meets. Caleb Caleb got a score of 9.5 (out of 10) in his floor routine at the Regional Gymnastics Competition. Asha Asha loves roses, so she is very happy that some have started to bloom in our yard. Reva & Gita They both enjoy doing cartwheels, and will participate in a Gymnastics Show on May 18. Ravi’s Round Up! While participating in a State level Bible Quiz meet, I learned about another ministry called the Fine Arts Festival. In this program, Middle and High School students develop their God-given gifts, to further the Kingdom. Fine Arts has many categories, including: photography, writing, poetry, music, singing, drama, sermons, and many others. I cannot wait to take part in this ministry next year. It will be an awesome way for me to use my talents for God. Thanks God is faithful to supply our needs through friends like yourself. Please pray that God would continue to provide $1,800 every month so that we can continue to reach out in our community. Your prayers and/or missions support allow us to reach out in different ways. Thanks. Ron, Vinu, Ravi, Caleb, Asha, Gita & Reva Goldberg |
